Madruga is a neighborhood craft bakery and café devoted to the pleasure of preparing and sharing ingredient driven breads, pastries, and lunch and breakfast fare. From our warm and welcoming open kitchen, to grinding heirloom grains in house on our custom-made stone mill, Madruga brings a fresh and unique way of baking rustic breads and fine pastries for our community. Our menu is seasonally driven so we bake and cook with wholesome ingredients at the peak of their flavor, organic and local whenever possible, and fresh always. All of our breakfast, lunch and pastry options reflect our dedication to making simply good food from scratch with simply good ingredients. We are currently seeking a pastry cook to join our team, baking croissants, cakes, pies, quick breads, and more. Qualifications that we seek: - Experience in pastry or baking in a commercial setting -A positive attitude -Strong self-motivation to make the best products and constantly improve -An interest in learning and creating -Ability to work well with others -A sense of urgency, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment -Ability to work 8 hours on one's feet -Ability to lift 50 lbs Madruga is a family run bakery, and has a small, close-knit team of dedicated bakers and cooks who work together closely.
